I’ve noticed over the past couple of days that the Performancing Ads Exchange ads have stopped displaying. As you can see from my slot on the right, the generic “Advertise Here” slot is showing, but none of the other five. I’ve checked a number of other sites in their Marketplace and all of the ones I’ve looked at seem to have the same issue.
I can’t see any kind of Status check on the site, which would be useful. I’ve contacted them to see if there’s any particular issue causing it and will report back.
Anyone else experiencing a similar problem?
Update: It looks like no ads are showing at all – not just the Exchange ads. I’ve just booked 2 of my own ads to show in my region on this site and neither of them are showing either.
Update 02/09/2008: Looks like the ads are at least partially back up. I’ve got 5 out of my 6 slots showing now.
Yes I’m having the same problem (I temporarily switch back to showing some CJ.com 125×125 ads since they broke). I have yet to get an email returned from them…i really hope they didn’t shutdown, they had something decent going.

I’ve had no response from them, either. It’s also interesting to note that, after visiting a number of sites in their Marketplace, a great number of them have actually removed the ads completely, like yourself, although they’re still showing as selling ad space on Performancing. It’s not looking too promising.
Damn…let me know if you find another good source for 125×125 ads. I tried using some affiliate type programs off cj.com and clickbank.com but they earned hardly any money for me at all. My private ad sales aren’t popular enough yet to fill up 4 spots.
Will do – I’m on the lookout at the moment.
Anyone else got any suggestions?
Mark, I got similar problems with PerformancingAds and my decision was to write a negative review (linked on my signature) – I think the users need to know when they are being ripped off. I noticed strange behavior in the Perf. script as well, but my observation goes deeper, in the Perf. control panel, where bookings appear and disappear mysteriously, where the affiliate reports show almost no traffic – and I installed the banners on the header of sites that get thousands of unique visitors per day… Someone should answer to all these questions – and I am certainly not expecting the “support” team of Performancing to come up with a reasonable excuse.
Hi Mihaela,
I have to admit, I’m becoming less than impressed with them. In fact, I’ve now removed them from all of my blogs. I don’t want my sites to have big gaps where ads should be and I’m especially concerned that they never seem to report any issues, or what they’re doing about them.
I too want to add my name to the list of people that appear to have been screwed over by PerformancingAds. In week two of using the system, I had two ‘real’ ads appear on my site (ones that were not from the so called exchange network). I logged into performancingads.com and could see the booking in my account. Great! Until about three or four days later, when the ads stopped displaying on my site. I assumed this meant that The weeks slot was over. So I logged in again to check the earning were in my account and much to my surprise, they were not. There is no record of these ads ever being displayed on my site. I have since contacted the company and had no response. I am strongly of the opinion that PERFORMANCINGADS IS A SCAM.
You are right, Mark – I m convinced they read both our blog posts and they still don’t have the courtesy to answer. There are more users in our situation – it’s really outrageous how performancing understands to do business. Well, if they don’t answer to us, maybe it’s time to report them to higher authorities… I bet they will not ignore a Techcrunch or a ReadWriteWeb entry…
Well, I’m certainly not the only who has issues with them, then!
Would anyone from Performancing care to comment?
Yep, I’ve given up on PerformancingAds completely at this point. Very disappointing. I doubt it was a scam, they wouldn’t have made enough to make it worth it…but they do seem to be completely shut down for some reason.
Hello. Yep. having problems here too. I have five blogs and not of them are showing exchange ads. I have tried to contact them but unfortunately no answer.
have anyone of been paid already for something on Performancing?
It seems to be collapsing, doesn’t it? I’ve removed all trace of them from my sites. The fact that they don’t appear to want to fix it, and never bother to respond to emails suggests they’ve simply abandoned it.
I let TechCrunch know about it, but haven't heard anything back.
They seem to have been in a state where they've not been showing ads for a few weeks now. No indication of what the problems are and no apparent work being done to fix it.

I got some ads booked right now and I don't even see them I am going to give performancing ads a try for some time but if it continues like this I will remove them from my blog too.
I still haven’t received anything and now we’re into October. I can’t imagine we’re the only one with problems. I’m now going to take my pleas to the top bloggers on the internet.
